This week we’re going to have a little fun. Instead of the usual coaching or personal growth and transformation type stuff, I want to share with you some of the things I am loving right now. Kind of like Oprah, only I’m not buying you any of this stuff. 🙂

My Favorite Personal Care Items
FabFitFun
A friend of mine turned me on to FabFitFun a couple of years ago. At only $50 per box (the value is upwards of $200), this is a fun way to give yourself a little gift every few months. It’s so much fun to get the box in the mail, and there are always some really fun goodies in it!
NARS Foundation
I received some NARS samples with a Sephora order once, and I fell in love with the Sheer Glow Foundation. It provides great coverage without feeling heavy or sticky.
Urban Decay Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette
I LOVE this palette. This palette is mostly rose gold-ish tones. I’m not a makeup expert AT ALL and prefer softer looks so this fits the bill for me. While this palette tends to have a lot of “fallout”, if you build the shades up, you can create some beautiful daytime or nighttime looks.
Vani-cream lotion
This is one of my favorite body lotions out there. It’s easy to find, as you can pick it up at Target, and while it’s inexpensive, it is super-effective. As someone who has super dry skin, I love this lotion, as it is ultra-hydrating.
The Original Makeup Eraser
I LOVE these. I am very low-maintenance when it comes to my nighttime skincare regimen, and this makeup towel means I’m not messing with tons of different products and I’m not wasting the little makeup remover towelettes. It works really well too!
Spongelle Body Wash Infused Bath/Shower Sponge
I got one of these in my first FabFitFun boxes. These are disposable but last quite a while. The scents they offer are amazing and the soap bubbles are super luxurious too. These just feel like a treat!
Favorite Apps
Insight Timer App
Hands-down my favorite meditation app. There are literally thousands of guided meditations to choose from, or you can just use their timer with a choice of relaxing singing bowl or gong sounds. My favorite guided meditations are by Sarah Blondin.
5-Minute Journal
I often sing the praises of gratitude journaling, and this makes it super easy. This is an AWESOME little app to use as a gratitude journal, and it will prompt you each morning and evening to make your entries. You can also add an image and other notes about your day.
Day One
This is, without question, my favorite journaling app on the planet! You can sync your entries across devices, add an image, and Day One will even add things like the weather to your entry. If you’re someone who likes to journal on a keyboard vs writing with a pen, this is for you!
Trello
I can’t even tell you how much I love Trello. I use it for everything! Mostly in my business, but I also use it personally. Trello is based on the KanBan method of organization and you organize your tasks as lists and cards within a list. You can move cards from list to list by dragging and dropping, which makes it a great way to track tasks as they move through a workflow. It is also an amazing way to store recipes – you can create “lists” for each recipe category and add cards for each recipe. You can add an image and either put the recipe text right in your card description or just link to the recipe online. Best part? It’s searchable!
Evernote
I’m a paper notebook addict, so Evernote helps me curb the amount of paper I use. You can create digital “notebooks” for different subjects and add notes within your “notebook” so you can keep everything organized. Your notes sync across platforms and you can search all of your notes!
My Favorite Planners, Notebooks and Pens
Wal-Mart Notebooks
I mentioned above – I am a notebook addict, and they can get expensive! I generally don’t shop at Walmart, BUT, their 3- and 5- subject EXCEED notebooks are great! They’re inexpensive, and the quality is awesome!
Daily Greatness planner
As an entrepreneur, it’s super important to keep myself on track as far as goals and to-do lists are concerned. Daily Greatness does just that for me. There is space to record my 1-, 3-, 5- and 10- year goals as well as drill down a little more short term and break down goals for the year. The planner has prompts to look back weekly and quarterly to reflect on what worked and what didn’t. I especially love the way each week is laid out with space to prioritize your goals and to-do list for the week.
Uniball Signo Pens
I am SUPER picky about the pens I use. I like super fine point pens, .5mm, and they need to feel good in my hand when I write. These are perfect
Favorite At-Home Things
Young Living Oils + Desert Mist Diffuser
I have several diffusers throughout my house, and I couldn’t live without my YL Desert Mist diffuser. The oils are also such high quality that I will never go back to supermarket essential oils. I always poo-pooed the more expensive oils, but they are so much better! I also love the Lemon Vitality oil – just a drop into ice water and it’s just like having a lemon slice only better! (if you’re interested in YL oils, you can purchase online, and enter member number 24355185)
Sodastream Fizzi + flavor drops
I’m a Pellegrino and Perrier drinker, but for as much of it as I like to drink, it gets pricey! Enter Sodastream. I drink at least two 32 ounce bottles of this stuff with a couple of drops of their flavor drops each day. My favorite drops are cucumber with raspberry a close second.
My Favorite Workout-Related Things
Hoka One One Running Shoes
I love running, and I am a Hoka convert! My Hokas are beefy and kind of look like bricks on my feet, but they are SO comfy and cushioned. They help my old decrepit body absorb all of the shock to my joints that running puts on my body. 🙂
iRocker Blackfin paddleboard
I bought my first paddleboard in 2015. (read about that HERE). I’ve since opted for a wider board (so I can put my 10-year old daughter on it with me) that’s inflatable, which I love because it doesn’t take so much room to store. I love the water and this thing is my ZEN. I could spend hours just paddling around enjoying nature and the sunshine!
Apple Air pods
I thought these were overpriced when they first came out and refused to buy them. But I am a convert. They’re comfy, have great sound and I love that they actually connect seamlessly across all of my Apple devices.
Just for Fun
Love Your Inner Goddess Oracle Card Deck
In case you’re wondering what oracle cards are, they are kind of like Tarot cards, only each deck is much more freeform. The decks contain cards with imagery and wisdom that are focused on inspiring readers and prompting self-analysis. If you’re a personal growth junkie like me, you’ll likely find them fun and interesting!
Cocktails – Boulevardiers and Negronis
I’ve never been much of a cocktail person – until I met my boyfriend. He introduced me to the Boulevardier (and the Negroni, which is nearly the same, except made with gin) and it is one of my favorite drinks.
The recipe is 1 oz each of Bourbon (we like Russell’s Reserve), Campari and sweet vermouth (Carpano Antica is THE best!) plus a twist of orange peel. SO good. The Negroni is the same, but substitute gin for the Bourbon. The Boulevardier is also delicious made with rye whiskey.
So there you have it. Those are just a few things that I am loving right now. Do you have some favorite things that you can’t live without? Share them in the comments. I always love to discover new favorite things!
